PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid that the changeover of a shift range is inhibited more than necessary while preventing the occurrence of a changeover abnormality of the shift range caused by the lack of the torque of a motor.SOLUTION: When a power supply voltage detected by a voltage sensor 33 is smaller than a prescribed voltage value, it is determined that a motor 12 is in a torque-lacked state by the lowering of a current caused by the lowering of the supply voltage, and the changeover of a shift range is inhibited. When the power supply voltage detected by the voltage sensor 33 is equal to or larger than the prescribed voltage value and a motor current detected by a current sensor 34 is smaller than a prescribed current value, it is determined that the motor 12 is in the torque-lacked state by the lowering of the current caused by a rise of a coil temperature, and a changeover limit for temporarily inhibiting the changeover of the shift range is applied. When the number of times of changeover operations of a driver during the changeover limit reaches a prescribed number of times, the changeover of the shift range is permitted at only that time, and after that, the changeover of the shift range is inhibited once again.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
