PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel trans-stilbene-N-substituted maleimide-cinnamic acid ester copolymer that is expected to provide a phase difference film having excellent optical properties such as a high refractive index and a high out-of-plane phase difference in film thickness direction, and a high out-of-plane phase difference even in the form of a thin film.SOLUTION: A trans-stilbene-N-substituted maleimide-cinnamic acid ester copolymer comprises a trans-stilbene residue unit, an N-substituted maleimide residue unit and a cinnamic acid ester residue unit.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
