PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correction tool for a seal member that improves assembly efficiency by reducing a diameter of a seal member having deformed increasing in diameter during insertion fitting through correction deformation, when a rotary shaft fitted with the seal member in an outer circumferential groove provided to an outer circumferential surface is inserted into an outer cylinder member to be sealed, and to provide an assembling method of the seal member.SOLUTION: There are provided: a correction tool 140 for a seal member 130 which is formed in an annular shape to deform in a radial direction, and inserted and fitted in an outer circumferential groove 120, provided annularly to an outer periphery of a rotary shaft 41 inserted axially into the outer cylinder member 65 to constitute a small assembly with the outer cylinder member, axially from a shaft end side of the rotary shaft, the correction tool for the seal member being characterized in correcting and deforming a seal member having deformed increasing in diameter in insertion fitting to contract it inward in a radial direction as a rotary shaft having seal members fitted in a plurality of outer circumferential grooves provided at intervals is inserted, and in comprising a cylinder member extending axially according to a range where the outer circumferential grooves are arranged; and an assembling method of the seal member. |
