Preparing aromatic amines by hydrogenating aromatic nitro compounds, comprises (A) providing a reactor comprising a hydrogenation catalyst, (B) supplying aromatic nitro compounds and hydrogen into the reactor while contacting the hydrogenation catalyst, where hydrogen is supplied to the reactor by a compressor comprising operating liquid, (C) regenerating the hydrogenation catalyst, (D1) at least partially removing liquids, which are present partially during step (C) in the reactor and/or in downstream plant parts, and (D2) at least partially replacing the operating liquid of the compressor. Preparing aromatic amines by hydrogenating aromatic nitro compounds, comprises (A) providing a reactor comprising a hydrogenation catalyst, (B) supplying aromatic nitro compounds and hydrogen into the reactor while contacting the hydrogenation catalyst, where the hydrogen is supplied to the reactor by a compressor comprising operating liquid, which at least partially contacts the hydrogen, (C) regenerating the hydrogenation catalyst by heating and contacting with oxygen, (D1) at least partially removing liquids, which are present at least partially during step (C) in the reactor and/or in downstream plant parts that are fluidically connected with the reactor, and (D2) at least partially replacing the operating liquid of the compressor, which is present during the step (C) in the compressor and/or in recirculation devices connected with the compressor, with operating liquid, which are not present in the compressor and/or in the recirculation devices during the step (C). |
