A ship is propelled by jets of gas-water mixture ejected from nozzles 10, these being first divergent and then convergent in going from forward to aft. Compressed gas supplied from a compressor 2 is admitted at the widest sections of the nozzles through pipes 8. For starting the ship compressed gas is admitted to pipes 4 passing upwardly from the bottom of the ship.</p> |
