Method and device for detecting a locking and/or a deployment of an aircraft control surface

The method involves estimating a value of a parameter of an equation simulating a feedback loop (2) dynamic of a control surface (3), according to a recursive autoregressive process with exogenous variable of recursive autoregressive with exogenous input (RARX) type in a recursive least squares way. The jamming and/or uncontrolled movement of the control surface is detected, according to the estimated parameter value by the application of a decision test in the parametric space. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for detecting jamming and/or uncontrolled movement of aircraft control surface; and (2) an electrical flight control system of aircraft.
