The invention describes a cooling arrangement (1) realised to cool stator windings (30) of a stator (3) enclosed in a generator housing (40), which cooling arrangement (1) comprises a fan arrangement (11) for directing a gaseous cooling medium (AF) towards a winding overhang (300) of the stator windings (30); and a volume reducer (10A, 10B) arranged to reduce a spatial volume (200R, 200F) between the winding overhang (300) and an inner corner (400) of the generator housing (40, 41, 42). The invention also describes a direct-drive wind turbine (2); a method of cooling stator windings (30) of a stator (3) enclosed in a generator housing (40, 41, 42); and a method of retrofitting a wind turbine (5). |
