The present invention provides an electronic device and a method. The electronic device includes: a touch screen displaying content and receiving an event for a movement of the content; and a processor moving the content to a location or in a direction according to the event, forming a blank area based on the movement of the content, and controlling set information to be displayed in the blank area. Other embodiments are possible. According to various embodiments, various functions can be provided in the blank area without reducing a ratio or a size of the outputted original content.
