PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor nanoparticle phosphor which is easily dispersed in a polymer material and a glass material, and can keep an excellent light-emitting efficiency even after the polymer material has been cured or the glass material has been vitrified; and a light-emitting element containing the semiconductor nanoparticle phosphor.SOLUTION: A semiconductor nanoparticle phosphor includes a semiconductor nanoparticle core containing a compound semiconductor, a shell layer covering the semiconductor nanoparticle core, and a modified organic compound bonded to the shell layer through a siloxane bond.
