The invention relates to tetrahydrofuran derivatives of formula (I), in which the group R1 represents (CH2=CH-CO-O-(CHR3-CH2-O)m-CH2)- and the group R2 represents (CH2=CH-CO-O-(CHR4-CH2-O)n-CH2)-, wherein the groups R3 and R4 independently of each other represent hydrogen or methyl and with the proviso that the sum of the indices m and n is a number ranging from 0 to 20. The compounds (I) are suitable for coating the surfaces of solid substrates, in particular for coating plastics.
