PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device including a horn switch mechanism which can be mounted compactly as seen from the above even when it is configured to be mounted on a steering wheel.SOLUTION: An air bag device 20A includes: an air bag 45; a pad 50 having a side wall part 60 extending from a ceiling wall part 51 cylindrically; an attachment base 21A holding the pad, and also holding the air bag by using a retainer 42; and a plurality of switch bodies 70 constituting a horn switch mechanism 69, and attaching the attachment base to a steering wheel body 1. Each switch body is disposed below the folded air bag 45. A movable side member 71 having a movable side contact 77 of the switch body is disposed in such a manner that a part 71ai on the side of an inflow opening 46 of the air bag is brought into contact with a lower face 42ab of the retainer by interposing with an opening periphery part 47, and a part 71ao on the side separated from the inflow opening is brought into contact with a lower face 64a of a side wall part of the pad.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14 |
