System for mooring a large vessel (10) for production of hydrocarbons, such vessel (10) for example being a FPSO vessel, the mooring system comprising at least two floating bodies (17) of the hang-off type, moored by means of differentiated compliance spread anchoring system (12) to the sea bed, allowing partly weathervaning of the large vessel (10); a riser system (13,14) extending from the sea bed to each the floating bodies (17), and means for transfer of fluids from the two floating bodies (17) to the large vessel (10), the floating bodies (17) and the large vessel (10) being provided with locking means (16), locking floating bodies (17) to the large vessel (10) at the bow and the stern of the vessel (10) in a mechanically rigid manner, thus providing a integrated, rigidly fixed unit comprising the large vessel (10) and the floating bodies (17). |
