PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluation of a signal from an LED status indicator of a device, the method allowing for simplified and/or faster evaluation of the signal.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for evaluation of a signal from a device 51, in particular, an LED status indicator 21 of a safety device, and the method comprises the steps of: detecting a signal emitted by an LED status indicator 21 by means of a camera 33 of a portable evaluation device 31; comparing the detected signal with signals stored in a database, wherein a status is associated in each case with the stored signals in the database; and displaying information about the status which is associated with the detected signal by means of display means 35 of the portable type evaluation device 31, wherein emitted signal in the form as emitted by the LED status indicator 21 is not distinguishable or not unambiguously distinguishable by the human eye from other signals that may be emitted by the LED status indicator 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
