摘要 [Problem] To provide a wavelength conversion member that suppresses the occurrence of curling, a manufacturing method for the same, and a wavelength conversion member manufacturing device for said method, a backlight unit comprising the wavelength conversion member, and a liquid crystal display device. [Solution] This wavelength conversion member (1) is formed by forming a film (30M) on a surface of a first substrate (10) by coating the surface with a polymerizable composition comprising quantum dots; superposing a second substrate (20) on the film (30M) to sandwich the film (30M) between the first substrate (10) and the second substrate (20); and forming a wavelength conversion layer (30) by curing the film (30M) by irradiating the film (30M) from one surface thereof with activate energy rays (E1) and by irradiating the film (30M) from the other surface thereof with active energy rays (E2). The indentation hardness N1 of the wavelength conversion layer (30) on the first substrate (10) side thereof and the indentation hardness N2 of the wavelength conversion layer (30) on the second substrate (20) side thereof satisfy the relationship in the following formula. |N1-N2|≤20 MPa
