In the blast furnace operation method of the present invention, raw ore material such as sintered ore, pellets, or lump ore and a raw coke material for loading into a blast furnace are loaded into a blast furnace using a rotating chute. A loading mode in which a completely mixed layer of the raw ore material and the coke is formed and a loading mode in which only a coke layer is formed are prepared as modes for loading raw material into the blast furnace, and loading of the blast furnace is carried out by switching between these two loading modes as appropriate. On such an occasion, deterioration of ventilation that may occur when loading the raw ore material and the coke as a mixed layer into the blast furnace is resolved by forming at least one coke layer for every two completely mixed layers. |
