<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a glass sealing body that has high resistance against shock and an external force, and provide a manufacturing method for a light-emitting device sealed by the glass sealing body. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a glass sealing body comprises the steps of: forming a barrier wall forming a closed curve by applying paste including powder glass and a binder on a first glass substrate; heating the barrier wall to vaporize the binder and fuse the powder glass, thereby making the paste into frit glass; and irradiating with a flash lamp the frit glass disposed in close contact with a second glass substrate to weld the frit glass and the second glass substrate, thereby forming a closed space with the frit glass, the first glass substrate, and the second glass substrate. The sealing is very difficult to be broken by shock or an external force; therefore, when a light-emitting element is sealed by the glass sealing body, the glass sealing body is effective for increasing the life of a light-emitting element with low resistance against external air, especially an organic EL element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
