PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and registration method for suitably managing a plurality of contents that meet user's preference.SOLUTION: A receiver 10 comprises: a remote controller 30; a communication unit 20; a meta information reception unit 12 for receiving meta information on a streaming content; a channel list display unit 15 which displays a favorite column formed by arranging indices of streaming contents for each channel and displays meta information; a content determination unit 16 for determining an index by using a focus; a content reception unit 17 for receiving a determined streaming content; a content reproduction unit 18 for reproducing the streaming content; and a favorite registration processing unit 19a which determines whether or not network connection is possible when being incapable of receiving a main body of a streaming content registered using the remote controller 30, and deletes identification information on the streaming content in the case that the connection is possible and does not delete it in the case that the connection is impossible. |
