an obtaining unit configured to obtain image data; a first determination unit configured to determine whether a pixel included in the image data belongs to a line; a second determination unit configured to determine whether a density of the pixel included in the image data is less than a predetermined density; and a correction unit configured to perform correction to increase the density of the pixel on a basis of results of the first determination and the second determination, and to perform correction to increase a density of a pixel adjacent to the pixel on the basis of the results of the first determination and the second determination.
