PURPOSE:To provide a lubricating/sealing device for a sleeve type divided back-up roll with which a back-up roll is prevented from burning and also lubricity is improved by stopping leak of lubricating oil. CONSTITUTION:The back-up rolls 53a, 53b, 53c divided in the axial direction are freely rotatably pivoted in eccentric shaft parts 51a, 51b, 51c of a roll shaft 51 which are mutually eccentric with ball-and-roller bearings 52a, 52b, 52c. A cylindrical sleeve 54 is loosely fit on the outer peripheral parts of these back-up rolls 53a, 53b, 53c, also thrust bearings 55 are mounted in the outside end parts of the back-up rolls 53a, 53b, 53c, a supply hole 81 through which lubricating oil is supplied to the ball-and-roller bearings 52a, 52b, 52c is formed, seal rings 11 are interposed between end faces, which are mutually brought into contact, of the outer races of the back-up rolls 53a, 53b, 53c and the thrust bearing 55 and also dams 15a for lubricating oil is provided on the outside end parts of the thrust bearing 55. |
