PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle assist unit that is able to reduce load applied to a mechanical element when the mechanical element is detached from a ring gear.SOLUTION: A bicycle assist unit comprises: a transmission including a planetary gear mechanism with a plurality of ring gears and a rotation regulation mechanism for selectively regulating rotation of one of the plurality of ring gears, and to which rotation of a crank shaft is transmitted; and an assist motor. In a power transmission path from an output part for the transmission to a front sprocket, second drive force output from the assist motor is applied to first drive force output from the transmission.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
