The present invention relates to caffeoyl pentapeptide having skin irrigation-alleviating, hair loss-preventing and hair growth-promoting effects; and to a cosmetic composition containing the same for the prevention of hair loss and the promotion of hair growth, and specifically, to caffeoyl pentapeptide which has skin irrigation-alleviating, hair loss-preventing and hair growth-promoting effects by linking caffeic acid and pentapeptide by a chemical bond; and to a cosmetic composition which has hair loss-preventing and hair growth-promoting effects by containing the caffeoyl pentapeptide. The caffeoyl pentapeptide in the present invention is water-soluble, has excellent stability even while aging for a long period of time, hardly causes cytotoxicity, and has excellent antioxidative, skin irrigation-alleviating, hair loss-preventing and hair growth-promoting effects. In addition, the caffeoyl pentapeptide has a cell protecting function against UV and thus can further effectively act in real life. According to the present invention, in the case of providing a cosmetic material containing the caffeoyl pentapeptide for hair, the cosmetic material can greatly help a user to maintain the health of hair and can greatly alleviate alopecia which is a serious problem for modern people. |
