PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a compensation current that cancels a harmonic current flow.SOLUTION: A converter drive part 5 performs a normal operation for obtaining the compensation current on the basis of command values of compensation currents icu, icv and icw and a forced operation for forcibly driving a voltage type converter 31 in a first switching pattern during a first changeover period regardless of the command values. In the first switching pattern, the voltage type converter 31 connects one of connection points Pu, Pv and Pw to which a current of a maximum phase is applied during the first changeover period, to a high potential side 32a of a capacitive load 32 and connects the other two connection points to a low potential side 32b of the capacitive load 32. During the first changeover period, all load currents are non-zero while including a time point when values for two phases of load currents iu, iv and iw are matched with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
