PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport auxiliary device of a long-length member which properly maintains the loosening of the long-length member between transport devices, and can smoothly perform the changeover of settings according to a specification of the long-length member.SOLUTION: A dancer roller 2 is placed on a long-length member A which is transported between two transport devices B1, B2 which are arranged in series, the dancer roller 2 is pivoted by an arm part 5 which vertically turns with a fulcrum 9 as a center, and a weight 7 is directly or indirectly connected to the arm part 5. The long-length member A is transported while controlling a transportation speed of at least either of the transport devices B1, B2 by a speed control part 4 on the basis of detection data by a detector 3 which detects a vertical variation of the dancer roller 2, and when changing a specification of the long-length member A, the weight 7 is made to approximate or separate from a support axial core 9a of the fulcrum 9 by a weight position regulation mechanism 8, and an applied load applied on the long-length member A by the dancer roller 2 is changed to a proper load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
