摘要 A optical fiber connector with improved fastening between the backbone (10) and the cable fixture (11) which is based on an optical fiber mechanical splice (100) is provided. The optical fiber mechanical splice (100) comprises a main body (1), rotating block (2) and compression block (3). Either end of the main body (1) has an opening (1-12, 1-13) for the passage of the optical fiber to be joined. The main body (1) has the first main plane (1-7) axially parallel to the optical fiber, and the first main plane (1-7) has a V-shaped groove (1-5) extending axially along the optical fiber. The rotating block (2) has the second main plane (2-6). The main body (1) has an accommodating chamber to accommodate the rotating block (2), and the second main plane (2-6) of the rotating block (2) faces the first main plane (1-7) of the main body (1). The compression block (3) is inserted between the rotating block (2) and the main body (1), which presses the rotating block (2) and drives the rotating block (2) to rotate relative to the main body (1). When the rotating block (2) rotates relative to the main body (1), the first main plane (1-7) and the second main plane (2-6) can switch between the open position and the closed position. The field-fabricated optical fiber connectors are divided into embedded connectors and through-type connectors. The optical fiber connector has the advantages of simple structure, high productivity, low cost, reliable performance and high installation success rate.
