PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, in order to suppress temporal deterioration of a cement-based base material such as mortar or concrete used for a floor material, an incombustible board, an interior tunnel plate, and an exposed concrete surface by reducing water permeability, improving water repellency, and at the same time suppressing elution of a silicate and reducing basicity of stagnant water or flowing water on the base material surface.SOLUTION: To provide a method for producing an inorganic composition applied as a surface protecting material for a cement-based base material by mixing at least an alkali metal silicate (A), an alkylalkoxysilane (B), phosphoric acid or a phosphate (C) and water. The (B) component contains a trifunctional alkylalkoxysilane. Relative to 100 pts.wt of SiOsolid content contained in the (A) component, the (B) component and the (C) component are contained in amounts of 2 to 50 pts.wt and 0.1 to 10 pts.wt, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
