A computer program provides an algorithm that evaluates component design and or modifications in water systems by automatically, generating possible operating scenarios in the system and evaluating them in the timely manner. This reduces the need for having special priori knowledge of the water system under study to find critical design scenarios. It also reduces the risk of not considering a potential critical condition during the design phase that could lead to underestimating the design conditions. The outcomes help engineers to have a comprehensive understanding of the design, its performances and its complications under various system conditions. Calculating water system operating bands for pump stations, hydrants, valves, etc. is one of the advantages of present invention. It additionally, produces prioritized criticality maps for the system components, which could be directly used to find weak system components and plan for their rehabilitations accordingly. |
