The present disclosure according to embodiments relates to an apparatus and a method for measuring insulation resistance using an oscillator, which can easily measure insulation resistance by using the oscillator connected to the anode and cathode of a battery. The apparatus for measuring insulation resistance using an oscillator includes a first switch having one terminal connected to a first terminal of a battery; a first resistor connected to the other terminal of the first switch; a first capacitor connected in parallel between the first resistor and the ground; a first oscillator having an input terminal connected to the first resistor and the first capacitor to change a frequency of an output signal waveform according to a resistance value and a capacitance value of the input terminal; and a control unit for turning on the first switch to connect the first resistor, the first capacitor and the first insulation resistor connected between the first terminal and the ground to the input terminal of the first oscillator, and for calculating a resistance value of the first insulation resistor by using the frequency of the output signal waveform output from the first oscillator. |
