The method for evaluating the effectiveness of the treatment of the deep burns includes the assessment of the area and the depth of burn wounds at each stage of the treatment. In addition, the blood biochemistry and general blood analysis are provided, cytological, histological and microbiological examination of the wound secretion is performed. The area and the depth of burn wounds is assessed by magnetic resonance imaging, namely by the parameters of induced tissue electromagnetic signals, the pulse sequences of the visual-and-functional images. At each stage, the survey and diffusion-weighted images are first analyzed followed by administration of paramagnetic contrast material and analysis of perfusion-weighted and delayed images. After the treatment, the control magnetic resonance imaging is provided. The positive dynamics of signal intensity by 18-20 % in survey images, 20-23 % in diffusion-weighted images, more than 30 % in perfusion-weighted images and 38-42 % in the images of the delayed accumulation of paramagnetic contrast agent suggests the viability of the examined tissues. |
