Tools for injection moulding, pressing, or extruding have inserts to allow several workpieces to be produced simultaneously. The sizes of the tools and inserts are arranged in sets so that each step in tool size corresponds to a multiple in the number of inserts which can be used. ADVANTAGE - The range of sizes utilises the maximum capacity of the injection moulding machine and reduces the number of different components. It provides a standard which takes full advantage of CAD/CAM procedures.
