The present disclosure is related to an industrial-scale treatment method for wastewater generated through the manufacturing and use of azo compound and food pigments. It is established that the involved pigments are of the acid type, FDC acid, D&C; and are of organic nature, also called synthetic pigments wherein sulfuric Acid is employed with a pH of lower than two, to achieve a 90% COD reduction and a 0% of color. |
