PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which contains a (meth)acrylic resin, is less colored and has less debris.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of producing a resin composition having a glass transition temperature of 110 to 170°C and an organic solvent content of 100 to 1000 ppm (mass basis) by: polymerizing a (meth)acrylic resin in a solution containing a non-polymerizable organic solvent having a boiling point of 70 to 150°C; heating the (meth)acrylic resin-containing solution under decompression and removing the non-polymerizable organic solvent thereby preparing a (meth)acrylic resin-containing resin composition; and filtering the resultant resin composition with a polymer filter having a filtration accuracy of 10 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
