PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pillar-shaped signal light that optically displays the operation state of a machine plant and can easily switch between a state of passive operation by an external signal and a state of operation by the signal of the pillar-shaped signal light itself.SOLUTION: A pillar-shaped signal light includes light-emitting units 2 (exchangeable modules), a connection unit 12 (wireless module), and a connection unit 27. The connection unit 12 includes switching elements 21 and 22 for turning on and turning off the light-emitting units 2.
