A fuel cell system is provided with: a hydrogen supply valve that controls the supply of an anode gas into an anode system; a purge valve that discharges off-gas from within the anode system; a pressure detection unit that measures the pressure within the anode system; and a purge flow rate estimation unit that estimates the purge flow rate of the off-gas discharged from within the anode system via the purge valve on the basis of the decrease in pressure when the purge valve is open and the decrease in pressure when the purge valve is closed while the supply of the anode gas into the anode system is stopped. |
