Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a network selection method and a user equipment (UE), for solving the problem of data service interruption when a UE residing in an LTE network returns to the LTE network after the UE drops to a 2G/3G CS network and concludes a CS service, thus improving the speed of a UE returning to a normal registration state on an LTE network. The method in the embodiment of the present invention comprises: the UE drops from a first LTE cell to a 2G or 3G network to conduct a CS service, the network type of the first LTE cell being a first type; when the UE concludes the CS service in the 2G or 3G network, measuring LTE cells according to LTE network information, so as to obtain measurement results for respective LTE cells, selecting from the cells having a measurement result satisfying a preset condition a second LTE cell to access the LTE network, the network type of the second LTE cell being the first type. |
