In the present invention a converter (3) performs full-wave rectification on a single-phase voltage (Vin) and outputs rectified voltage (Vrec) between direct-current power supply lines (LL, LH). An inverter (5) receives the rectified voltage (Vrec) and supplies three-phase alternating current (Iu, Iv, Iw) to an inductive load (6). A charge-discharge circuit (4) is connected between the direct-current power supply lines (LL, LH). The charge-discharge circuit (4) has a buffer circuit (4a) and a boosting circuit (4b). The buffer circuit (4a) includes a capacitor (C4) and a switch (Sc) connected in series. The boosting circuit (4b) is configured from a boosting chopper, for example, and includes a switch (Sl), a reactor (L4), and a diode (D40). A portion of the pulsations of the power input to the converter (3) is exchanged by the charge-discharge circuit (4) between the direct-current power supply lines (LL, LH). |
