According to an embodiment of the present invention, an electric wheelchair, which can be lightweight and increase power efficiency, comprises: a cell type battery module; a motor which is driven by power supplied from the battery module; an operating unit which generates a command to control an operation of the motor in accordance with a control operation executed by a user; and a control unit which controls the motor and the battery module in accordance with the command.
