A reduced iron production system (100) is equipped with an injection well (11) for feeding an oxidizing agent gas to a coal bed (12) existing in the underground (15), a gasification zone (12A) which is located in the coal bed (12) and in which the gasification of coal is carried out using the oxidizing agent gas, a production well (13) for feeding a coal gas produced by the gasification of the coal to the ground, and a reduction furnace (30) for reducing iron oxide into reduced iron using the coal gas as a reducing gas, wherein the reduction furnace (20) is arranged immediately above or in the vicinity of the production well (13). |
