PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging member that can improve adhesion between an elastic layer and a surface layer compared to a conventional one.SOLUTION: A charging member 1 is used for an image forming apparatus of an electrophotographic system. The charging member 1 includes a shaft body 2 having conductivity, an elastic layer 3 formed along the outer peripheral surface of the shaft body 2 and having conductivity, and a surface layer 4 formed along the outer peripheral surface of the elastic layer 3. The elastic layer 3 contains rubber and calcium carbonate having a spindle shape. The surface layer 4 is formed of a cured product of a composition containing a matrix polymer, polyvalent isocyanate having two or more isocyanate groups in a molecule, and porous particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
