PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submarine cable which is light, soft, and excellent in corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: A submarine cable 100 comprises, as exterior cladding 30, plural ropes 31 formed of stranding-up or flat braid having high tensile strength of tension strength of 23 cN/dtex or more, which are arranged by being wound around a cable core wire 10 having a conductor part 11 and an insulation layer 13 on the surrounding of the conductor part. Thereby the submarine cable having high strength, being light and soft, and excellent in corrosion resistance is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
