The present invention provides a method for performing a device-to-device (D2D) operation by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising the steps of: starting to use an exceptional resource; determining whether a condition for suspending the use of the exceptional resource is satisfied; and when the condition for suspending the use of the exceptional resource is satisfied, suspending the use of the exceptional resource, wherein the condition for suspending the use of the exceptional resource is a suspension condition in an RRC idle state.
