PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device and the like capable of accurately removing and supplying a recording area of a long work-piece.SOLUTION: A recording device 1 includes: a work stage 5 for suctioning to hold a recording area of a long work-piece W fed in a feed direction of the recording device 1; an inkjet head 51 for performing recording on the recording area; work holding means 60 that is disposed at a feed direction downstream side of the work stage 5 and configured to be able to fixedly hold and release a portion of the work-piece W; an x-axis table 7 and the like for moving the work stage 5 and work holding means 60 so that they are relatively separated in an extension direction of the work-piece W; and a control device 13 for controlling each component, and the control device 13 executes recording operation for performing recording on the recording area, holding operation for fixedly holding the portion of the work-piece W, and removing and supplying operation that moves the work stage 5 and the work-piece holding means 60 relatively in the extension direction to remove a recorded recording area from the work stage 5 and supplies a non-recorded recording area. |
