METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PARTIALLY UPDATING DISPLAY IMAGE OF AN ELECTRONIC INFORMATION LABEL

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for partially updating a display image of an electronic label, and more particularly, to a technology for updating only a part of an image to be displayed and displaying the updated image. According to the present invention, an electronic label management server device is installed in each store and manages display of electronic information labels installed in the store. The electronic label management server of each store communicates with a central server installed in a headquarter and the central server generally manages display of partial advertisement images displayed on many electronic information labels of each store. The electronic label management server device generates a new display image by combining the partial advertisement image received from the central server and a display image of the electronic label. An electronic label device receives the newly generated display image from the electronic label management server device through a gateway. Accordingly, efficient management of advertisement information additionally displayed on the electronic label is attained in many locally separated stores.
