PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing zeolite made of crystalline aluminosilicate, having a new structure, also synthesizable using an inexpensive structure-direction agent, as a catalyst for reducing nitrogen oxide, having high reduction performance at 200°C or lower, and capable of industrial use.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing zeolite with a new structure shown by a specified powder X-ray diffraction peak comprising a crystallization process where a composition containing a silica source, an alumina source, a triethyl propyl ammonium cationic source, an alkali source and water is mixed with zeolite having a powder X-ray diffraction peak at 2θ=21.36±0.3°, and thereafter, the composition is crystallized. Also provided is a method for producing zeolite in which the silica source and the alumina source being crystalline aluminosilicate, and FAU type zeolite.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
