PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform control such that when a monitor part is detached from a camera part during camera operation, a processing being performed is interrupted depending upon a result of the process being performed.SOLUTION: There is provided an imaging device having a camera part having imaging means of imaging a subject and generating image data, and a monitor part having means of displaying the image data sent from the camera part, the camera part and monitor part being separable from each other. Further, the imaging device has: first communication means of electrically connecting the camera part and monitor part to each other in a united state to allow communication; second communication means of allowing communication through wireless connection when the camera part and monitor part are separated from each other; determination means of determining what process is being performed when the camera part and monitor part are separated from each other or united together; and operation control means of performing control such that on separation in the united state, the process being performed is interrupted depending upon a result of the process that the determination means determines.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
