PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize, in integrated equipment, enhancement of the data transfer velocity between an arithmetic unit and an external memory or memories and reduction of EMI noise without contradiction between the two objectives.SOLUTION: An information processor comprises a non-volatile functional program storage unit for storing functional programs for providing specific functions and an arithmetic unit that reads a functional program out of the functional program storage unit into a main memory at the time of startup and executes the functional program by performing arithmetic operation on the basis of the functional program read out into the main memory. The arithmetic unit, when reading a functional program out of the functional program storage unit into the arithmetic unit at the time of startup, operates at a startup frequency, which is set up as a clock frequency for accessing the functional program storage unit to serve as the startup frequency and, upon completion of the reading of the functional program into the main memory, operates at a frequency lower than the startup frequency as a clock frequency for accessing the functional program storage unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
