PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection device that is tolerant of external noise and can excellently detect a position indicated with a stylus pen.SOLUTION: There is provided a position detection device that comprises a sensor provided with a plurality of electrodes receiving an AC signal from an electrostatic type stylus pen through electric field coupling, and detects a position indicated on the sensor with the stylus pen. The position detection device performs control to connect at least one set of electrodes among the plurality of electrodes provided to the sensor to a plus-side input terminal and a minus-side input terminal of a differential amplifier circuit respectively and selectively by an electrode selection circuit, and to change an electrode pattern selected by the electrode selection circuit according to the height from a sensor surface of the stylus pen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
