PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dot impact system printer reducing noise.SOLUTION: A printer 10 records information on a recording medium supplied from a supply port 13a and transported along a transportation path 52 by using a recording head 31 having a recording wire disposed at a position facing a platen roller 67 and discharges the recording medium from a discharge port 12. The printer 10 comprises: a main body case housing a printer main body while being formed with parts of the supply port 13a and the discharge port 12; and a printer cover 18 disposed at an operation position side of the main body case and forming a part of the discharge port 12. A first shielding wall 56 shielding a part of the supply port 13a is provided in the supply port 13a of the main body case. The printer cover 18 has a substantially rectangular shape. One of long sides corresponds to a part of the discharge port 12. A second shielding wall obliquely raised is formed in a discharge port 12 portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
