METHOD FOR PERFORMING ELECTROLESS PLATING OF CASTING MATERIAL/CASTING PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the efficiency of conventional activation treatment and electroless plating (simplification, stabilization of a treatment solution) by applying melting treatment to perform electroless plating treatment without surface defects.SOLUTION: The method for performing electroless plating of a casting material/casting product comprises: immersing and water-cooling a material to be treated consisting of a casting material for 10-40 minutes in a bath having alkali salt obtained by adding one kind or two kinds or more of potassium hydroxide of 3-15%, sodium chloride of 3-15% and sodium nitrate of 5-30% to sodium and heated and melted at a temperature of 380-480°C; and performing activation treatment of deposits on the surfaces of the casting material/casting product to perform electroless plating.SELECTED DRAWING: None
