PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable writing instrument a center core unit of which has a good operability.SOLUTION: A center core unit 20 in a barrel 10 has a support cylinder part 21a which projects a writing part 22a forwards and supports the writing part 22a, and an annular inclined step part 21b which is inclined in a rear oblique radial outside direction on a rear side of the support cylinder part 21a. A lid opening/closing member 50 has plural engagement piece parts 54, which extend rearward along an outer peripheral surface of the support cylinder part 21a at intervals in a circumferential direction, each engagement piece part 54 is pulled reward by an energization force of an energization member 60 while being engaged with the support cylinder part 21a. When the center core unit 20 advances, each engagement piece part is bent in a barrel diameter outer side direction while being brought into slide contact with the inclined step part 21b, and is released from the state of engagement with the support cylinder part 21a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
