The roof has a rear fixed and a front sliding cross member, with the roof fabric stretched between them. The roof panel overlaps the roof opening and is sealed by fixed sealing strips applied to the edges of the opening and with sealing surfaces under the overlapping roof panel. The front of the system has a thickened seal (28A) which is gripped by the profiled front edge of the roof panel (1) to form a simple seal. The sides of the roof panel are sealed by interaction with sealing strips fitted along the edges of the opening. The seals are of low friction material and the strips are made from single extrusions. ADVANTAGE - The sealing has a long life and low friction and provides a secure seal with a minimum of components.
